The Brief

A homeowner wanted shade coverage for their outdoor patio area without blocking natural light or airflow.

Constraints & Requirements

Existing patio tiles not to be damaged, attachment to house wall via chemical anchors, shade fabric to be replaceable.

Our Solution

Steel-framed pergola-style structure using 76mm × 76mm columns and 50mm × 50mm rafters. Shade cloth tensioned with stainless steel cable and turnbuckles, allowing easy replacement. Frame powder-coated in charcoal.
